DeLong Plastic Surgery

In-office treatment

Sculptra®

Gradually stimulate collagen for subtle, progressive volume restoration.

Overview

Understanding the procedure.

Sculptra® is a poly-L-lactic-acid injectable approved to correct shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles in appropriate adults.

Results develop gradually over a series of treatments as collagen response builds. Uses outside approved labeling, including certain marionette-line or chin applications, are off-label and would be discussed explicitly when medically appropriate.

Is it right for you?

Candidacy is personal.

Adults seeking gradual rather than immediate correction may be candidates. Health, immune history, skin condition, anatomy, and willingness to complete a treatment series are considered.

What to expect

A plan shaped around you.

Sculptra® is injected in the office over one or more sessions. Treatment spacing, amount, and placement are individualized according to approved guidance and clinical judgment.

Recovery

Time and support for healing.

Swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or small nodules can occur. Massage and aftercare instructions depend on the treatment plan; improvement develops over months.
