In-office treatment

Kybella®

Reduce moderate to severe fullness beneath the chin through a planned series of injections.

Overview

Understanding the procedure.

Kybella® contains deoxycholic acid and is FDA-approved to improve moderate to severe submental fullness in adults. It destroys treated fat cells, which can no longer store fat.

Most treatment plans involve multiple sessions. Skin quality, anatomy, and other sources of neck fullness must be assessed because Kybella® does not tighten loose skin.

Is it right for you?

Candidacy is personal.

Adults with appropriate fat beneath the chin may be candidates. Neck anatomy, swallowing history, prior surgery, infection, and skin laxity are reviewed carefully.

What to expect

A plan shaped around you.

A mapped series of small injections is performed in the office. Sessions are spaced apart according to response and manufacturer guidance.

Recovery

Time and support for healing.

Swelling is common and can be pronounced, especially after early sessions. Bruising, numbness, firmness, and discomfort may occur; nerve injury and swallowing difficulty are uncommon but important risks.
