Questions About Visiting Our Los Angeles Office

General answers about insurance, consultations, location, payment and second opinions at our Los Angeles plastic surgeon office. Procedure-specific questions are answered on each procedure page.

Insurance

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance commonly applies to reconstructive surgery, such as reconstruction after mastectomy or treatment of a medical problem. Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered. Call (310) 267-5518 to check your specific plan. For reconstruction, see breast reconstruction Los Angeles.

Will you help with prior authorization?

Yes. For reconstructive procedures, our office prepares and submits prior authorization requests and coordinates with your other doctors. Learn more about breast reconstruction insurance coverage.

Consultations

How do I book a consultation?

Use the Book a Consultation form or call (310) 267-5518. The form asks only for contact details — please don't send medical information through the website.

What happens at a consultation?

Dr. DeLong reviews your goals and health history, examines the area of concern, explains options with their benefits and risks, and outlines recovery. Every plan is individual. Explore options such as DIEP flap reconstruction.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Ask our team when you call. An in-person exam is needed before any surgery is planned.

Location & parking

Where is the office?

We are in the UCLA / Westwood area, Los Angeles, serving patients from across Los Angeles, the Westside, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and the San Fernando Valley. Directions are below.

Where do I park?

Parking details are shared when your appointment is confirmed. Please allow extra time for Westwood traffic and parking.

Financing & payment

Do you offer financing for cosmetic surgery?

Ask our team about payment options and any third-party medical financing available when you call. Pricing for cosmetic procedures is provided after a consultation, since every plan is individual. For example, see tummy tuck Los Angeles.

Preparing for your visit

What should I bring to my first appointment?

A photo ID, your insurance card if applicable, a list of medications and allergies, prior surgical records or imaging, and your questions. For reconstruction, bring your pathology report and treatment plan if you have them. See breast reconstruction after mastectomy.

Second opinions

Can I come in for a second opinion?

Yes. Second opinions are welcome, including for revision of earlier cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. Bring prior operative notes and photos if available. Learn about breast implant revision Los Angeles.
